About

Established in 1996 and nestled by the side of the road in the tiny village of Kishorn the Kishorn Seafood Bar serves fresh local seafood at its very best. The daily catch, coming straight from our local boats to the kitchen door, includes langoustines, lobsters and hand- dived scallops. Located at the head of Loch Kishorn it enjoys spectacular views of Skye and the Applecross hills and is not to be missed for seafood lovers. A warm welcome awaits from March to October (please check here for our latest opening times).

Review: Food & Drink Guide 2019

“A year into its new ownership and the Kishorn Seafood Bar continues to go from strength to strength. Resident chef Daniel Chlebny is kept busy serving up the very best seafood the region has to offer and the views are still as delicious as the menu!

The sky-blue log cabin, nestled by the side of the road with spectacular views over Loch Kishorn to Skye and the Applecross peninsula, specialises in the freshest of shellfish served simply in this stunning waterside setting. Prawns, squat lobsters and scallops come from the local waters of the minch and the plump mussels & oysters come over the water from Skye.

The owner, Lucy Kerr, is committed to supporting sustainability and local suppliers; the prawns are creel caught in Loch Torridon and the scallops hand-dived up & down the local coastline.

Famous for its luxury fish pie (a real treat including scallops, crab, langoustine & mussels) it also offers one of the best and freshest seafood platters in the area.

Described as “the best of Wester Ross on a plate” the dish is overflowing with scallops, crab, langoustines, oysters, mussels and squat lobster tails – all fresh off the boat.

Sitting outside on a balmy summer’s day with a crisp, cool glass of wine and a selection of treasures from the sea... it doesn’t get much better.”
